Information on the law enforcement structures of the 57 participating States and 11 Partners for Co-operation has been collected from official websites of these countries and other open sources. These country profiles are then reviewed and authorized by the respective governments.* The information contained in the profiles is published "as it is" received from the respective delegations to the OSCE. The SPMU regularly invites the participating and partner for co-operation states to review and update their respective profiles in the effort to keep this information up to date.
Apart from general information these profiles give some insight into the structure, functions and other aspects of the law enforcement agencies listed as well as a general overview of the criminal justice system.
