This workshop aims to promote and improve co-operation and information exchange between investigative agencies, police, customs and central authorities.

The UNODC and the SPMU will organize a two day workshop in Tashkent / Uzbekistan to promote improved co-operation and information exchange between investigative agencies, police, customs and central authorities. The SPMU will organize the event in co-ordination and co-operation with relevant Units.

The conference is organized in the framework of the Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air of the UN TOC and the Protocol to prevent, suppress and punish trafficking in persons, especially women and children.

Purpose of the Regional Conference is to build the capacities of national of the criminal justice systems of OSCE participating States in Central Asia. The objective of the event will be to improve national and international co-operation between the police, customs and investigative agencies.
