Material for a 10-hour lesson, part of the 19-day Operational Police Skills Training Course, developed by the Kosovo Police Service School.


Summary

The goal of this lesson is introduce students to issues of civil disturbance, management tactics and the proper police response to such situations.

At the conclusion of this lesson, students will be able to:

  1. List the twelve (12) procedures for handling a crowd or riot.
  2. List the procedure for dealing with civil disturbances.
  3. Demonstrate how to properly wear the helmet, and hold the baton and shield.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of crowd control formations as taught in class.
