The main objective of this Project is to facilitate the relevant application of the community policing principles in all project sites (Ganja, Yevlakh, Tar-Tar, Gazakh, Guba, Khachmaz, Davachi and Narimanov district of Bakuand Nakhchivan AR) and extend the introduction of community policing practices to Nakhchivan AR.

The purpose of the project is to enhance training capacities at the Azerbaijani Police Academy through the support of establishing class-room for Community Policing subject of the Curriculum. The project shall assist with planning, construction and installation of mock-ups and illuminated posters, and donation of necessary equipments the practical and theoretical class-rooms within the premises of the Academy.

The main objective of this Project is to continue the implementation of recommendations of the OSCE needs assessment mission aimed at introduction of modem community policing concept in Mingechevir Police Department and extend the introduction of community policing practices to one more city of Azerbaijan

This project goal is to contribute to the MoIAs efforts in decreasing the possession of illegal weapons by citizens through increasing the capacity of the MoIA staff regarding the implementation of the new regulation of weapons possession and raising citizens’ awareness about their rights and obligations regarding weapon possession.
