According to the latest surveys, Albanian State Police has a small number of female officers (approx. 4%). In order to increase the number of female applicants, the OSCE PiA in co-operation with the Albanian State Police made a campaign through a TV Institutional Documentary and a TV spot including the design of Posters, Leaflets and Postcards, which mainly promote and advertise the female policing work.

Based on the decision of the Working Group representing the Principals (MoIA, EU, OSCE, American Embassy, NATO), OSCE took the initiative to organize a regional conference to support the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Host Country in strengthening its Human Resource Management system based on professional criteria and effective, efficient, accountable and transparent procedures that are in line with the Law on Internal Affairs and its implementing regulations.
