This Conference is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea in close co-operation with the OSCE Secretariat's Transnational Threats Department with the objective to promote co-operation and global cyber stability between OSCE participating States and Asian Partners for Co-operation in the field of cyber/ICT security, built upon newly identified synergies between regional efforts.
The aim of the conference is to enhance dialogue and co-operation between OSCE and Asian region in the field of cyber/ICT security on issues related to reducing the likelihood of ICT-induced tensions or even conflict among States. Specifically the conference will identify:
The Conference is organized in line with OSCE Ministerial Decision No. 5/16 which calls upon OSCE Partners for Co-operation to enhance dialogue on efforts to reduce the risks of conflict stemming from the use of ICTs.
The target audience is (policy) experts from relevant national authorities including Ministries for Foreign Affairs, Interior, Defence, Justice, and Telecommunications, as well as representatives from CERTs, the private sector, think tanks, and civil society.
