Assessment

The aim of this lesson is to introduce participants to the concept and elements of employee assessment. It will give them an understanding for procedures and considerations, necessary for a supervisor to assess subordinates.

At the end of this lesson participants will be able to:

• Briefly explain the purpose of subordinates' assessment;
• Describe the components of such an assessment;
• Describe the necessary steps of an assessment;
• Explain what are Core Tasks and Core Skills;
• Outline objective and subjective measures for an assessment;
• Describe the common problems and errors of which a supervisor must be aware.
