Summary

On 3 February, the Centre in Bishkek handed over a minibus, Volkswagen T5, to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) to be used by the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime covering capital and outreaching provinces. The vehicle was donated as additional support to the MoI’s efforts to effectively combat the organized crime in the republic and will be used for conducting operative interventions and crime scene investigations by police inspectors from the Department for Combatting Organised Crime, jointly with Criminal Investigation Department and Special Units of the Ministry.

The Centre’s project on combating organized crime is aimed at increasing professional capacity of MoI for effective investigation of organized crime cases, and includes an ongoing project activity where the Centre in Bishkek assists in the coordination of all Government entities involved in the effort to combat organized crime.
