Presentations from a roundtable on the Swedish concept of “dialogue policing,” focusing on the de-escalation and prevention of public confrontations at protests and other public gatherings.
The presentations give an overview of the original concept and its implementation in Sweden. While it is primarily a policing tactic used during street demonstrations, it is also a valuable tool to increase trust between police and citizens. The Swedish Police representatives also held a separate presentation for Mission staff.
