This workshop will contribute to enhancing the criminal justice system co-operation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in fighting terrorism and organized crime through discussions of direct law enforcement co-operation, mutual legal assistance and inter-agency co-operation mechanisms between law enforcement, prosecutorial and central authorities for the investigation of trans-border organized crime and terrorism cases.
This conference aims to serve as a forum for exchange of good practices, strategies and measures to counter violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism, in order to enhance practical co-operation
This workshop, organized by the Secretariat's Transnational Threats Department and the OSCE Office in Tajikistan in consultation with the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (UNCTED) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), aims to provide a platform for a first regional exchange of views and experiences with regard to the threat of foreign terrorist fighters in Central Asia.
