OSCE-supported training seminars on profiling techniques at the border checkpoints for officers representing the Border Service of the National Security Committee
The aim of the conference is to assess the Police (and Customs) Co-operation Centres (P(C)CCs’) technical and operational capacity to identify the gaps to be addressed in order to provide for better co-ordination, co-operation and real time information exchange mechanism among the border security and management services in the region.
The Roundtable is specifically geared towards the Mediterranean region and will help showcase the important role that regional approaches and effective co-operation mechanisms can play in addressing cross-border challenges, to include those related to migration flows.
The objective of this project, implemented by the Transnational Threats Department/Border Security and Management Unit (TNTD/BSMU) in close co-operation with the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities/Economic Governance Unit (OCEEA/EGU), is to enhance the capacities of involved border agencies in investigating grand corruption in cross-border context.
