    This training course, organised by OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit (SPMU), in co-operation with the OSCE Mission in Kosovo and the OSCE Mission to Skopje, aims at developing a practical training module on human rights and counter-terrorism investigations.

    The goal of this annual meeting is to facilitate discussions of experts from participating states, international and regional organisations and OSCE executive structures to identify the crucial links and interfaces among the various sectors of the Criminal Justice System throughout the successive phases of their development and reform to increase the effectiveness of the police and the other sectors alike, thus enhancing the sustainability of reform efforts in the wider Criminal Justice System.

    The conference, which was organised by the Lithuanian Chairmanship with the support of the Strategic Police Matters Unit and the OS/Borders Team, in close consultation and co-operation with the UNODC, focused on regional and international co-operation in prevention of trafficking illegal drugs and precursor chemicals through international borders.

    The aim of this training course, organised by the Strategic Poilce Matters Unit of the OSCE Secretariat in co-operation with the Turkish International Academy against Drugs and Organised Crime (TADOC), was to prepare law enforcement officers of anti-narcotics units for their role in performing their operational duties and tasks and equip them with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to combat against drugs competently, confidently, and ethically.
