This 2-day training workshop, organized jointly by the Transnational Threats Department and the International Institute for Justice and Rule of Law, aims to strengthen national and regional responses to combat terrorist use of the Internet by improved skills and capacities of judges, prosecutors and law enforcement officers to effectively investigate and prosecute the use of the Internet for terrorist purposes in full compliance with human rights standards.
The main objective of this workshop, organized jointly by the Transnational Threats Department (TNTD) and the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM), is to discuss the relationship between media and counter-terrorism policies and ways to enhance co-operation between governments, civil society and media organizations.
This workshop will contribute to enhancing the criminal justice system co-operation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in fighting terrorism and organized crime through discussions of direct law enforcement co-operation, mutual legal assistance and inter-agency co-operation mechanisms between law enforcement, prosecutorial and central authorities for the investigation of trans-border organized crime and terrorism cases.
