    The aim of the Conference is to to provide a platform for experts of the OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation to discuss challenges of tackling the world drug problem, achievements made and problems encountered in the implementation of the 2009 Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem, as well as support governments in implementation of the UNGASS 2016 outcome document.

    Over the course of five days the workshop aims to raise awareness regarding the illicit trafficking of cultural property and its impact on security and stability in the Mediterranean region; and to discuss methods and best practices for the OSCE, as a regional security organization, how best to respond to this serious transnational threat in a systematic manner, and in co-ordination with relevant national agencies, International Organizations, private sector and educational institutions.
