The World Customs Organization (WCO) is partnering with the OSCE, in order to deploy specialized training on the prevention of illicit trafficking of cultural heritage in Central Asia.
This regional workshop aimed to explore and discuss ways to identify and improve co-operation among the national stakeholders in the Central Asia region, not only in the prevention and investigation of terrorism, but also on how to better co-ordinate efforts in case an attack has been perpetrated.
This workshop will contribute to enhancing the criminal justice system co-operation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in fighting terrorism and organized crime through discussions of direct law enforcement co-operation, mutual legal assistance and inter-agency co-operation mechanisms between law enforcement, prosecutorial and central authorities for the investigation of trans-border organized crime and terrorism cases.
