The Order stipulates measure and activities aimed at promoting the civil society engagement in the implementation of the police reform and also contains the Annex "Provision of the Public Council on the Civil Society Assistance to the Police Reform under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan".
The purpose of this document is to provide an assessment in respect of the perceived needs of the Republic of Tajikistan in its efforts to counter terrorism and to identify areas where support from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe may be deemed appropriate. The assessment seeks to identify activity complementary and additional to work already undertaken and ongoing by the OSCE in respect of Counter Terrorism.
This bilateral agreement aims at intensification of mutual relations and enhancement of the cooperation between the two border police services, as well as more effective action through joint measures, plans and actions against illegal migration, trafficking in human beings and other forms of trans-border crime.
