The purposes of this Convention are to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings, protect human rights of the victims of the trafficking, design a framework for the protection and assistance of victims and witnesses.
This report provides an assessment of the Serbian police service's capacity to fight economic crime. The authors addressed a number of recommendations to the Serbian authorities and to other relevant international actors.
CoE and OSCE representatives visited Serbia in April 2002. They were tasked to produce a joint report with recommendations and an implementation strategy to improve police internal and external accountability.
The main objectives of this report are to highlight areas where the police reform process in Serbia requires impetus and to be constructive by providing possible solutions to issues that have the potential to undermine the process.
The report contains recommendations that address the most urgent bilateral and sub-regional border issues as well as the essential areas of cross-border concerns.
