A three-day training course on protecting the rights of alleged victims and accused persons for police investigators from Tashkent and the surrounding area was conducted by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan. The aim of the training is to enhance the investigators’ professional understanding of and commitment to international policing and investigative standards.
The goal of this meeting is to exchange information about the projects completed in 2009 and plans for 2010, with the purpose to provide a forum for co-ordination and information sharing, thus preventing overlap in implemented projects.
The Conference aims at fostering the best possible co-operation between governments, the Internet industry, police, educators, hotlines, NGOs, children charities, psychologists and financial investigators.
The aim of the workshop was to bring together regional drug fighting experts in order to co-ordinate anti-drug activities and identify the key drug and chemical precursors issues, where OSCE could play an effective role in supporting efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking, as well as to study the possibilities of fostering international and regional counter narcotics cooperation.
