The OSCE Office in Baku is organising a National Expert Conference "Tackling Cybercrime - A Key Challenge to Comprehensive Cybersecurity" which will bring together representatives of all relevant state agencies of Azerbaijan, international experts, representatives of international organizations and Embassies and internet providers operating in Azerbaijan.
The OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit, in cooperation with the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt), has arranged for 17 police investigators from the Balkan region to participate in a one-week cybercrime forensics course.
The objective of the project is to increase the capacities of relevant Government agencies and civil society in preventing and prosecuting trafficking in human beings (THB) and protecting the victims of trafficking.
The purpose of the workshop was to sensitize regional law-enforcement agencies and other actors on anti-trafficking and elaborate on the role of the front-line officers in combating trafficking in human beings.
The purpose of the project is to build the capacity of Internal Troops and Police of Azerbaijan in appropriate use of reasonable measures and proportional methods of public assembly management consistent with OSCE commitments, international standards and Azerbaijan's legal obligations under relevant human rights conventions.
