  • Support to the application of community policing subject in the Police Academy

    The purpose of the project was to enhance training capacities at the Azerbaijani Police Academy through the support of establishing class-room for Community Policing subject of the Curriculum. The project assisted with planning, construction and installation of mock-ups and illuminated posters, and donation of necessary equipments the practical and theoretical class-rooms within the premises of the Academy.

    The main objective of this Project is to facilitate the relevant application of the community policing principles in all project sites (Ganja, Yevlakh, Tar-Tar, Gazakh, Guba, Khachmaz, Davachi and Narimanov district of Bakuand Nakhchivan AR) and extend the introduction of community policing practices to Nakhchivan AR.

    The goal of this study trip, organised by the OSCE Mission to Skopje, was to familiarize with the Slovenian Police Service’s approach to Community Policing prevention structures at both a practical and theoretical level and exchange experiences and viewpoints on community policing issues and learn about the processes followed by the Slovenian Police in the transition from its previous system to the current one.

    The goal of this project is to support the MoIA in implementing their Community Policing Programme “Building a Partner relation citizen-police” that they have developed in line with the new police reform. It also aims to enhance the mid-level management supervisory staff’s knowledge on conflict prevention and conflict resolution through specific presentations on the subject matter and through increased knowledge of the tool, Inspector of Prevention (IoP) position.
