The aim of the conference is to assess the Police (and Customs) Co-operation Centres (P(C)CCs’) technical and operational capacity to identify the gaps to be addressed in order to provide for better co-ordination, co-operation and real time information exchange mechanism among the border security and management services in the region.
This roundtable is organised by the TNTD's Border Security and Management Unit (BSMU) and Strategic Police Matter Unit (SPMU) in close co-operation with the Office of the Coordinator for Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEAA) and aims at taking stock of past and ongoing initiatives on integrity and countering corruption in border and law enforcement agencies in South-Eastern Europe in an effort to enhance co-ordination of future joint activities in this sphere as well as mutually complement each other’s endeavours in promoting integrity in border and law enforcement agencies in the region.
The goal of the roundtable is to identify the required elements for the needs assessment to be conducted in Ukraine and for the potential technical assistance project/s.
