The aim of this training is to enhance the skill level of investigators from the countries of South-Eastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia), who deal with highly complex computer crimes, as well as computer related crimes with an emphasis on digital forensics.
The OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit, in cooperation with the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt), has arranged for 17 police investigators from the Balkan region to participate in a one-week cybercrime forensics course.
The workshop is intended to give police supervisors, appellate level prosecutors and judges new information on computer crimes, computer forensics, and cyber evidence retrieval during while investigating and prosecuting sexual abuse of children on the Internet
