The aim of “Good Practices in Building Police-Public Partnerships” is draw together the common basic principles and characteristics of current concepts of community policing applied in the OSCE area and to reflect basic questions of what community policing is and what it is not. This book builds on the “Guidebook on Democratic Policing” and further illustrates the aspects of community policing, touched on in it. This is the Volume 4 in the OSCE Publication Series.
The Conference took place in Vienna on 28-29 June 2007 and was designed to facilitate the exchange of information on the production of and trafficking in illicit drugs, to discuss the implementation of relevant OSCE commitments and to consider further measures to enhance international co-operation in fighting the threat of illicit drugs.
This report, prepared by the TNTD/Strategic Police Matter Unit, includes the executive summary of the conference, summaries of the presentations and main findings and recommendations.
