The conference intends to make use of the comprehensive OSCE approach to security allowing a cross-dimensional discussion on current counter-terrorism issues, including kidnappings for ransom, human rights and counter-terrorism, and "foreign fighters".
This Conference is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea in close co-operation with the OSCE Secretariat's Transnational Threats Department with the objective to promote co-operation and global cyber stability between OSCE participating States and Asian Partners for Co-operation in the field of cyber/ICT security, built upon newly identified synergies between regional efforts.
The workshop is organised upon the invitation of and in cooperation with the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service. This activity supports requests from NFPs as well as agreements reached during the recent 2013 Annual NFP Network Meeting conducted in Kyiv, Ukraine, from 8 – 10 April 2013.
