    This training course, organized by the Border Security and Management Unit of the Transnational Threats Department in close co-operation with the Spanish National Police (Policia Nacional) is part of a multi-year initiative aimed to strengthen co-operation mechanisms between border security and management agencies of the OSCE Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation (PfC) and participating States (pS). It will focus on risks at the borders and ways to be used to tackle contemporary challenges, ranging from transnational crime and terrorism to irregular migration flows both at land and maritime borders.

    The main objective of this project was to contribute to strengthening the security sector's capacity to respond to terrorism in Azerbaijan. For this purpose, the Office aimed to improve the capacity of law enforcement agencies to respond to terrorism threats and to facilitate international cooperation in countering terrorism.

    The purpose of this conference was to help the Government of Azerbaijan develop a consistent policy on cyber-security with the aim of implementing the Convention on Cybercrime by protecting rights and freedoms related to protection of personal data, privacy, etc. At the same time, the conference was intended to involve civil society actors in the field of cyber security and encourage the co-operation of Government and civil society.
