The aim of the meeting was to discuss issues of co-operation in fighting drugs and the exchange of information on drug traffickers and drug supply routes in the region.
A three-day training course on protecting the rights of alleged victims and accused persons for police investigators from Tashkent and the surrounding area was conducted by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan. The aim of the training is to enhance the investigators’ professional understanding of and commitment to international policing and investigative standards.
The workshop was organized by the Strategic Police Matters Unit of the OSCE Transnational Threats Department and Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy, with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine and INTERPOL.
