The workshop was organized by the Strategic Police Matters Unit of the OSCE Transnational Threats Department and Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy, with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine and INTERPOL.
The OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit, in cooperation with the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt), has arranged for 17 police investigators from the Balkan region to participate in a one-week cybercrime forensics course.
This conference brings together practitioners, policy makers and researchers to share and discuss recent findings on how best to protect young people from coming to harm online. It will also address the need for support and preventive strategies.
The conference aims to raise awareness of key decision makers on the use of special investigation techniques and to identify new developments in this area since the adoption of the 2005 Recommendation of the Committee of Ministers of the CoE on “special investigation techniques” in relation to serious crimes including acts of terrorism.
