    For its 2008 Safer Internet Eurobarometer survey the Commission targeted parents of children between 6 and 17 years old from all 27 EU Member States. The main aim of the survey was to investigate parents'; perceptions and views on their children's use of Internet, as well as on the potential risks they may encounter online.

    The Eurobarometer survey presents the attitude of European Union citizens towards illegal and harmful content on the Internet and their knowledge of how to protect their children against it. It covers 25 Member States, candidate and acceding countries and was conducted in December 2005.

    This event is organized by OSCE’s Transnational Threats Department/Strategic Police Matters Unit, within the framework of the Project "Effective Criminal Justice Strategies and Practices to Combat Gender-based Violence in Eastern Europe", and will consist of a four-day course for police and prosecutors, followed by a one-day workshop with additional judges and social workers.
