Guidelines for Crisis Communication

Description

The Guide for Crisis Communication determines the procedures in relation to the coordination of communication, both internally and externally in case of crisis. It states the roles, responsibilities and protocol of communication with the target groups during the crisis.

Summary

Public confidence in the work of the Ministry, especially in the Police, depends on the perception of the citizens on the degree to which the Ministry of Internal Affairs protects their interests. This is particularly important in conditions of crisis, when the expectations of the public are higher, and the circumstances in which it carries out its activities are under pressure and require effective and objective response by the institution.

This document contains two parts, i.e. the Guidelines for Communication with the Public and the Guide for Crisis Communication. The Guide for Crisis Communication determines the procedures in relation to the coordination of communication, both internally and externally in case of crisis. It states the roles, responsibilities and protocol of communication with the target groups during the crisis.
