The Guidebook, prepared by the Border Security and Management Unit of the Transnational Threats Department of the OSCE Secretariat, gives examples of international legal practice in the formation of state borders of new states, outlines the main stages of work on the delimitation and demarcation of state borders, as well as recommendations on the organization of this work.
The meeting was organized by the Italian OSCE Chairmanship and the OSCE Transnational Threats Department/Border Security and Management Unit (TNTD/BSMU), in Vienna, Austria. The event focused on the conclusions of previous Annual Meetings and is in line with the 2018 Italian OSCE Chairmanship’s priorities.

The 14-minute short film was developed to enhance the capacities of involved border agencies in investigating grand corruption in a cross-border context. The video dramatizes the pitfalls of corruption.
This event, organized by the TNTD/Border Security Management Unit, provided the opportunity to discuss the importance of confidence building activities among the relevant border security and management services and to encourage better co-operation.
