On 18 June in Mostar, the Mission organised a P/C VERLT multi-stakeholder workshop regarding local-level responses in the prevention and countering of violent extremism, attended by police, representatives of education, social protection, religious leaders, mental health centres, sports associations and local coalitions against hate.
The event was a combination of presentations delivered by experts and interactive discussions regarding practical steps for organizing local preventative activities and co-ordination models between institutions. By bringing together the multi sectoral first-line practitioners, a platform for dialogue and co-operation is being created, underlining a need to raise awareness on VERLT and its consequences for society.
