On 22 May, the Mission to Skopje organised a one day kick-off workshop for 44 women mentor and mentees in the police force. The event was part of the second phase of the Mentoring Programme for Women, organised in cooperation with the Macedonian Police Union. The Programme was launched in 2017 when a group of 24 mentors received a basic mentoring and gender training. In April 2018, a group of 24 mentees (mentored persons) were also trained.
For the first time, both groups were gathered together on the kick-off workshop, where the mentor-mentees pairs were presented to each other. During the event, they were instructed how to proceed with their mutual work in pairs on handling possible gender-related issues at work. Both groups, mentors and mentees, received toolkits and guidebooks, mentoring agreement, a map of the mentoring process and tools to evaluate the mentoring process
