Kyrgyz police officer pocket handbook


The pocket handbook was developed in 2010 by the OSCE Police Reform Programme for Kyrgyzstan for uniformed police for the first time in Kyrgyz and Russian languages to promote the culture of the rule of law among the Kyrgyz police.


The handbook includes excerpts of international and domestic legislation and covers aspects of police work including human rights, police ethics, the basic principles of the use of force, treatment of foreigners, citizens, homeless persons, business communication and etc. It also provides the police officers with the short Russian-English and Kyrgyz–English basic phrases important for communication with foreigners and other information useful for police officer's daily work.
