Summary

In this session we will discuss the role of the police in ensuring the respect for the rights of victims and suspects. In addition, we will focus on the elements of pre-trail policing that complement domestic and international standards for a fair trial. Finally, we will discuss common areas where poor policing can lead to human rights violations.
