Summary

The purpose of this lesson is to provide a general overview on the Community safety Strategy in Kosovo. This course is designed to assist police officers to recognize the existing community safety infrastructure; to describe the existing community safety forums their roles, responsibilities, establishment procedures. How to improve the effectiveness in working together with their communities, to address issues of crime, safety and liveability.

After this block of instruction the participants will be able to:

  1. Explore the Community Safety Strategy in Kosovo.
  2. Describe Local public Safety Committees (LSPCs) legal framework, establishment Procedures, Terms of References, purpose, principles of the existence of the LPSCs
  3. Describe Community Safety Action Teams (CSAT)
  4. Describe Municipal Community Safety Council (MCSC)
  5. List the key COP Guiding Documents.
