Summary

The purpose of this lesson is to provide students with an understanding of the principles of Intelligence Led Policing (ILP). The lesson is designed to assist students in recognising the benefits that this operational tool offers them and how by using it the Kp will be able to improve their effectiveness in addressing issues of crime, community safety and liveability in Kosovo.

After this block of instruction the students will be able to:

  1. Define Intelligence Led Policing (ILP), according to the definition presented during the lesson.
  2. Describe why intelligence led policing is necessary, as taught in the class.
  3. Understand how intelligence is collected, as presented in the lesson.
  4. Be able to understand and state the benefits of the operational use of ILP throughout Kp, as presented during the lesson.
  5. Understand and describe the link between Community Orientated Policing, ILP and benefits, as taught in the lesson.
