From 2 to 4 April, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo organized training in contemporary trends and best practices on cases of child pornography and internet recruitment to officers from the Kosovo Police Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking in Human Beings and Cybercrime Unit.
The training focused on recruitment methods for the production of illegal pornographic material, internet sexual abuse, techniques in identifying cases of child pornography and methods of recruiting victims of trafficking through fake online advertisements.
The interactive sessions also provided for the sharing of experiences and best international practices in identifying various constraints that the police face in this area, especially related to international co-operation. Participants showed particular interest in software tools and investigation methods for the identification of child pornography cases, internet recruitment, and methods and techniques for gathering legal evidence against perpetrators.
