Summary

As part of its wider support to the Ministry of the Interior in strengthening the capacity of Serbia’s forensic centers, from 18 to 20 March, the Mission organised a three-day training course for staff from criminal forensics centers in Belgrade, Niš, and Novi Sad on interviewing child victims of violent criminal offences.

The participants were taught how to apply special techniques when conducting forensic interviews with children who had suffered sexual or physical violence. A total of 18 participants, including eight women, received a lecture from a specialist child psychologist and discussed ways of incorporating this knowledge into everyday activities.
