Summary

To foster a more transparent and accountable security sector, on 12-13 April in Niš, on 19-20 April in Srebrno Jezero, and on 26-27 April in Zlatibor, the Mission, together with the Ministry of Interior, organized three training sessions for police officers tasked with processing requests for access to information of public importance and resolving complaints.

Some 200 police officials, including 90 female participants’, learned how to more efficiently process public requests for access to information and handle public complaints against the police. These sessions completed three months of training programmes which saw a total of 630 people take part in 21 different events across the country.
