Mission to Serbia enhances police capacities in combating cybercrime

Summary

To build the capacities of the MoI in combating cybercrime and conducting cyber forensics, on 24 and 25 January, the Mission, together with the MoI’s Service for Combatting Organized Crime, organized a two-day training course on collection and documentation of evidence on the Internet. Ten participants, including five women, from the police districts of Čačak, Jagodina, Kragujevac and Kraljevo, learned more about conducting research, and collecting and documenting information from open source databases on the Internet and social media. The first training took place in Belgrade in November 2018, while another four training events are planned to take place in Niš, Novi Sad, and Subotica in 2019. By April 2019, 60 cybercrime focal points across the country will receive the training.
