Mission to Serbia enhances police capacities in combating cybercrime

Summary

From 28 February to 1 March, the Mission, together with the Ministry of Interior’s Service for Combating Organized Crime, facilitated the second of four two-day training courses on the collection and documentation of information on the Internet. Ten participants, including three women, representing the police districts of Novi Sad, Zrenjanin and Sremska Mitrovica, learned best practices in conducting research, and collecting and documenting information obtained from open source databases and social media.

The first training took place in Kragujevac in January 2019, while the following training courses will take place in Niš and Subotica. The training will result in the establishment of a country-wide network of 60 cybercrime focal points by the end of April.
