Summary

Further assisting Serbia’s authorities in combating corruption, from 9 to 11 and from 17 to 18 April the Mission organized a five-day workshop on “Analyzing accounting documentation for police and prosecutors from Anti-Corruption Departments”. Twenty-eight police officers and two prosecutors, eight of whom were women, gained practical knowledge on the type of information to look for in accounting documentation when investigating corruption. In addition to the ongoing workshops, with Mission support, two police officers from the newly established Ministry of the Interior’s Anti-Corruption Department passed the final exam and became internationally certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

The Mission will organize two final anti-corruption workshops for the police and will assist six more officers in taking the exam to become certified anti-money laundering specialists.
