Summary

The purpose of this lesson is to provide the participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct an effective and ethical suspect interview.

At the end of this module participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the person perception, prejudice and stereotyping and explain how they affect the interview;
  2. Explain the legal implications and evidential acceptance and the role of legal advisor;
  3. Demonstrate the conversational techniques;
  4. Explain the five steps of PEACE model for structuring suspect interview;
  5. Conduct a suspect interview according to the “PEACE” model presented in class.
