Summary

From 29 August to 2 September, the Mission delivered training on management and practical application of covert rural observation position for ten Kosovo Police officers of the surveillance and technical support section. Advanced surveillance techniques, respective human rights standards, adherence to local legislation and best police practices in application of surveillance and covert tactics, comprised this practical/operational training. Further, focusing on management of surveillance operations in rural environment, this specialist deployment training aimed at gathering relevant evidence or information through covert techniques where environment requires surveillance/observations maintained in a specific manner. This module builds upon the previous two stages of the specialized training programme on surveillance techniques that were delivered by the Mission in May and July, with the final fourth stage set to be delivered by the Mission in October.
