The Roundtable is specifically geared towards the Mediterranean region and will help showcase the important role that regional approaches and effective co-operation mechanisms can play in addressing cross-border challenges, to include those related to migration flows.
This event will gather representatives of national law enforcement authorities and relevant international and regional organizations with a purpose to stimulate and enhance international dialogue and co-operative efforts of the OSCE Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation and participating States on methods and good practices to increase their capacities to identify and counter border security and management challenges.
The Roundtable will consist of the opening and closing plenaries and thematic sessions focusing on emerging transnational threats and challenges and approaches to border security and management with the special focus on migration challenges, the risk analysis and management systems within the national border security and management agencies and the existing regional cooperation mechanisms and initiatives.
