Description

The aim of the meeting is to enhance the exchange of information and the co-ordination of activities between OSCE executive structures and relevant international partner organisations involved in police-related activities

Summary

Strategic Police Matters Unit of the OSCE Transnational Threats Department organises the annual meeting of the Heads of Law Enforcement Departments and Programmes of field operations (HoLEDs) in Vienna to address issues of common interest. Other representatives from the OSCE Secretariat and from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, as well as guest speakers from international organisations, including the European Police College, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, INTERPOL, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, will also participate in the meeting.

OSCE participating States are invited to attend sessions IV (efforts in addressing migration-related crime) and V (regional threat assessments) on 8 June, also dedicated to the exchange of information between participating States and OSCE field operations.
