Summary

On 13 December, the Mission conducted a one-day workshop in Prishtinë/Priština to provide the managers of the Kosovo Police with the findings of the pilot project on Confidence and Satisfaction of the Public in Kosovo Police. The workshop which was co-chaired by the Kosovo Police and the Mission aimed to showcase the findings of the surveys undertaken in the municipalities of Ferizaj/Uroševac and Gjilan/Gnjilane during the previous six months. The discussion focused on victims’ and residents’ levels of satisfaction and confidence in the police, and covered different aspects related to community policing and Kosovo’s community safety architecture. The identified findings will enrich the future implementation of the confidence and satisfaction approach, expected to be delivered in all Kosovo regions from 2017 and onwards by the Kosovo Police.
