Summary

On 26 and 27 May the Mission organised an international conference on “Managing complex data in organized crime and corruption cases.” Discussions focused on the management of complex criminal investigations on organized crime through the use of advanced software solutions. Participants included 140 prosecutors and police from south east Europe, EU member states and the US, as well as representatives from international organizations such as EUROPOL. During the conference, organized crime prosecutors from Albania, Bulgaria, BiH, Italy, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and the Italian anti-mafia directorate signed a new protocol on mutual co-operation, also open for adhesion by other countries. This initiative is part of the Mission’s broader efforts to promote professionalism, mutual trust and sharing of best practices among prosecution and law enforcement authorities in southeast Europe.
