Summary

On 17 November, the Mission, in co-operation with the MoI, organized a roundtable that gathered 20 police co-ordinators on the prevention of domestic violence. The event aimed at providing a forum to discuss challenges facing police co-ordinators n their day-to-day work with victims of domestic violence. Participants exchanged good practices and explored ways for improving their work. A Deputy State Prosecutor and a member of the State Prosecutors’ Council presented a draft of general guidelines on standard operating procedures for the Victim/Witness Services established with the Public Prosecutor’s Office. This activity is part of the Mission’s effort in support of the establishment of a national support system for victims and witnesses of crime in Serbia.
