Summary

On 18 November, the Mission supported the MoI in completing the first specialized nine-week course on the prevention and suppression of corruption-related cases. The course was jointly developed by the Mission, the MoI’s Criminal Investigations Directorate and the Police Education and Training Department. Participants, including 15 economic crime police investigators from the Service for Combatting Organized Crime, strengthened their capacities to: prevent, detect, document and provide evidence for corruption-related criminal offences following the public prosecutor’s order; apply the rules of forensic accounting; analyse financial reports; use the Excel program for the analysis of financial data. This activity is a part of the Mission’s overall efforts to enhance police capacities to fight corruption.
